repair-workerThe MED Certified Repair Centers (CRC) Program has been providing technical support and training in all aspects of wheelchair repair since 1993. The focus of CRC is to bring up-to-date, practical information to service technicians and to provide guidance and tools for Service Center management. This is accomplished through MED’s close relationship with prominent suppliers for technical information and through CRC members for the development and sharing of operational information.

The CRC Program was established to enable our members to consistently provide superior post-sale service support for wheelchairs with an emphasis on powered units. Participation in CRC helps members achieve a higher level of technical expertise, enhance service department operations and improve profitability. Supporting these goals are four core elements that give CRC purpose:

  • Technical education and training with industry-recognized Certifications
  • Service management and operations guidelines
  • Marketing tools
  • Networking opportunities

The market recognition of being a MED Certified Repair Center identifies your company as a preferred supplier that can be relied on for service excellence, giving your company a most valuable competitive advantage in your marketplace.

Also, remember the new DMEPOS Quality Standards issued October 2008 mandate a minimum of one "Trained Technician" to support the efforts of the ATP/ATS at each location.  The education provided under the CRC program, specifically the Technican Training Seminars (TTS), satisfy the requirement of 10 hours of annual training.
